Well a bit anyway!

Today I have had the pleasure of being videoed at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) Conference taking place in Manchester.

I was talking to the University of Manchester media team about sketching as a research tool.  It’s something I’ve been exploring as part of my affiliation to the Morgan Centre.  I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Morgan Centre artist in residence, Lynne Chapman (http://www.lynnechapman.co.uk/)

Lynne has accompanied me on a shopping trip with one of my participants and sketched the whole experience.

Using research tools like sketching really adds another dimension to research – enabling the visual and multi-sensory to come to life, and it’s something I’d really like to pursue in the future.

Based on this 12 month residency the Morgan Centre and Lynne are holding an exhibition this week (26th July to 1st August 2016) of over 50m of Lynne’s sketches, at Z arts, in Hulme, Manchester.  Please go along!

For anyone interested, here’s the link to the video and my moment of fame (I’m last up)!
